ABSTRACT: The fourth industrial revolution (Industry 4.0) has had a profound impact on changing all aspects of global socio-economic life. Industry 4.0 revolution opens an opportunity for Vietnam's oil and gas industry to take a step further to thrive. Effective solutions can be used to transform data into information and knowledge, which can then be used to improve maintenance operations. This article discusses several aspects of this process, from discussing maintenance strategies to the opportunities presented by extracting new information from maintenance big data, which support to systematically and easily monitor, analyze and predict the condition and reliability of equipment to improve the overall efficiency of surface and sub-surface production of Oil and Gas field.
