STUDY ON PRESERVING SPINACH BY ANTIBACTERIAL FILM CONTAINING GUANIDINE-BASED POLYMERS Abstract: Preserving spinach with antibacterial packaging using modified atmosphere technology is a suitable method for facilitical conditions in Vietnam.The objective of this study was to determine the effect of the ratio of LLDPE -G packaging film area/weight of agricultural products (cm²/g); film thickness (mm) to oxygen and carbon dioxide balance in the package and nutritional and sensory quality of spinach during storage. The results shown that, the ratio of packing filmy area/weight of asparagus is 3.43 cm²/g and the filmy thickness of LLDPE-G is 0.04 mm, corresponding to an oxygen concentration of 18% and carbon dioxide concentration 10%. The quality of spinach stored in this condition was assessed after 15 days of storage to meet food hygiene and safety standards on microbiology in accordance with Good Agricultural Practices.
